Aerodynamics: The aircraft engine spools up and the turbines start spinning. The rotation of the blades move faster and faster until you only see a blur. Fuel and spark are introduced and what follows is a powerful explosion. This explosion thrusts the metal beast forward and up into the horizon.
You don’t have to go far to find a job that doesn’t come with some type of pre-associated stereotype. Whether it’s the classic ‘plumber’s crack’ or the ‘sleazy car salesman’, it seems every industry will call a certain image to mind at first thought. A profession that has some of the worst negative stereotypes is the trucker. What comes to your mind when you think of a typical truck driver?
As we move forward into this new year we can’t help but look back at 2015 with appreciation over what we have achieved. We faced many challenges during 2015, but along with these challenges came opportunities. Let’s look back over the past year to see what it looked like, so that we can understand the challenges and appreciate the opportunities that came from them. Reflecting on these prepares us for what we may face during the rest of this year. What were some of these challenges, opportunities and statistics? What opportunities do we expect for the coming year?
This is a formal announcement that on October 16, 2015, Derek Pearce has assumed the role and title of Operations Manager within our company. He has been working with T&P Trucking since 2007, and during that time he has gained much insight and experience in dealing with both internal functions and external operations of the company. He is an obvious choice and we have every confidence that he is well suited for this role. His dedication and work ethic are a testimony to this.
