We thought it would be nice to take a break from all of the talk of ELDs and the ELD mandate in trucking news, and examine the variety and uniqueness of the different types of trailers used in the trucking industry. While some trailers only have one specific use, others are quite versatile and can be used for almost anything.

Back in April, we wrote an article discussing the challenges facing a trucking company with regards to the implementation of ELDs. Since then, we have been busy in continuing efforts of research and deliberation as to what type of product would be best suited for a small to medium-sized Canadian company like T&P Trucking.

Most of us get excited when a new phone is released or about cool updates in the tech world. But how do you feel when new technology can impact your wages? The technology on many of our minds is the electronic logging devices. While some think they will help productivity, others feel as though they will cut into wages. We look at both sides of the battle, and you can choose your own victor.

With the ever advancing technological world we live in, there is barely a gap during the day that doesn’t involve looking at some type of electronic screen. When we check the news online at home before work, make a choice from the TV menu screens at McDonalds, even checking the latest Instagram feeds on our lunch break – there is always some form of screen put before us. While some of these seem and may very well be a necessity, WE ARE AT RISK.
That may sound somewhat intense. What exactly are we at risk from? Too much Instagram? Are we going to die from looking at our phones? If anything, I feel like I’d die without looking at it. Is there truly a need for preventative measures against our tech devices?
